TRX goes 9.594 in the quarter

That's a lot of weight pushing that flat nose against the wind. While the published stats are what they are, I wonder if the actual Hellcat engine in the TRX (factory free of pollution mandates specific to cars) performs better on the track than the unmodified car version?

    Hey

Premium or regular, I'm more into the "vintage" models. I first got this one on a school bus 41 years ago come Halloween.

How much can we "TRX" our current trucks

We take our 2021 Laramie to Costco every two weeks and fill up the 33 gallon tank there with 87-octane fuel. We save about $15 a fill up after deducting the cost of the fuel it takes to drive there and back.

    Let's see those PCs

Oh. I forgot one. This is a "Plex Server" I put together from a surplus government PC last year. I modified the optical drive port to work as a removable HDD bay. But in the meantime, all the movies available on streaming services have really limited the need for my own video server. So...

    Let's see those PCs

The PC's in the Handy House are custom built. Here's the one in my office. I originally built it in 2004. It's been upgraded MANY times. Right now, it's sporting an old AMD Bulldozer CPU which still does the job. It's got 32 gigs of RAM, 2 SSDs and 2 HDDs for storage. Video is an older...

Anyone modify their TRX on their own?

Guys with less resources buy used trucks, equip the used truck themselves and take them to the woods. Guys with more resources buy new and well-equipped trucks, then go straight to the woods. Until the TRX becomes older and the options and capabilities people want change, the TRX will likely...

    Gun Porn

I think it's nickel plated. But the trigger may be stainless from the look of it. The point of Rossi at the time was to be a cheaper alternative. Adjusting for inflation, I believe handgun prices seem to be lower today than they were in the 1980s and 90s. I think the advent of the big box...

Let's look at a similarly-optioned Rebel, Power Wagon and TRX and decide where the cost/enjoyment ratio works best:

    Worst stuck pics?

Same on the Laramie. That reverse sensor will throw on the brakes if there is a rock in the road behind you. We cannot even back into our driveway due to the slope which the reverse sensor thinks is a baby carriage as well. Luckily, there is a switch to turn it off below the radio, along with...

    Gun Porn

While I'm still on the .38 Special kick. Here's a 1990s Rossi Model 88. It's a fairly close copy of a 1970s S&W Model 60 (Saturday Night Special), but costs a lot less back in the early 1990s. I think it was under $200 if I remember right. What's interesting is that this gun was actually made...

    Let's kick this off!

Yep. What they really need to do is bring back the Li'l Red Express Truck and use the Hellcat Red Eye power train.
