EGR Coolant Bypass

I have a check engine code on my 2017 Ram 3500 diesel that said the EGR coolant Bypass was bad and when I looked under the hood found that a cable on the valve had broken . The dealership said it is not under warranty and will cost $1300 anyone else have this problem? Only 65000 miles on the truck.

Just need to do a flux capacitor swap. Pretty simple job. YouTube should have some how to videos.
