The other driver hit me at an exact right angle, passenger to driver's side, in a Phord F150 doing about 40 MPH.

The Ram still ran although it was leaking a lot of fluid. When we tried to start his truck it sounded like the engine was revolving on the crank with all the clanking. We had to push it out of the intersection.

What I found funny about the whole thing was as I was waiting for the tow truck to arrive the EVIC lit up with a warning message... "Headlight Out" ... OMG...

Ha ha! So of course it was totaled? Get screwed or got enough out of the settlement to be happy about it all?

Yeah, they totaled it due to frame damage.

Actually the insurance company settlement offer was within $100 of retail book so it was all good. I did have to chat with them some about the value of the aftermarket items that were destroyed. They paid me off for them as the other parties insurance was paying them so they waived the policy limit.

But... less than 2 years of ownership (3/31/2015 - 3/15/2017) and only 22K miles left me kinda sad. There was so much potential in that truck.

Oh well, defecation occurs...

There were a lot of installs, inside and out, that I did. I left the heavy lifting to the shop where they have big air compressors, big air tools and a lift!

My BIL has a big black Mega Can with the Cummins. He loves it.
I haven’t had it long but so far I’m very pleased with it, I drove it from Alabama to the Smoky Mountains last week and I absolutely love the engine brake on the truck, great idea and a great way to save your brakes.
