Decided I want to make them pop so I got these from Jeremy at Retro shop. I hope to get to installing these on Saturday if it's not too cold. Getting the existing ones off the tailgate is not going to be fun.

Oooh, yeah thats gonna be a pain. I was looking into taking mine off on my Rebel for painting, but decided to just paint them in place. I still haven't gotten to it, but I'll be color matching them to Silver.

that sounds like it would still be a lot of work.

Either way you slice it. If it was a different color I'd remove them, but being the same silver there's a bit of wiggle room with some minor overlap. Plus, I'm telling myself that tape is easier than an eraser wheel. Suuure it is... lol

Glad to hear Jeremy is still busy with Retro Shop. I haven't talked with him for awhile.

Do you use a small wire to cut the badges off? I know the wrap guys use some kind of wire to cut things off paint

I got this done today And it’s not a horrible job. Because the truck is so new getting the badges off was actually pretty easy. The most time consuming part was getting all the left over adhesive off. The whole back of the badge has adhesive even though it doesn’t touch the tailgate. I also had to remove the dealer sticker that they couldn’t even put on straight(not that I would have left it on even if it was straight). I still need to replace the dealer license plate frame.

Same! It's been years since I talked to him. He took care of a retrofit on my motorcycle about 5 years ago now. Good guy for sure.

Dang you're not kidding that's a ton of holes wtf?!!!
the center oval hole for the A isn’t even used so I don’t know why it is there.
