Replaced Door Panels

I’m not really fond of all the red on the interior of the base model TRX, so i found a set of the level one panels. I really like them and I’m sure in the future I will replace the seats also.

Here is what my truck came with:

yup. That’s where these were from, but they are in like new condition

one day I will figure out how I can get all the lights in these panels working. Of course the plug is not there in my doors.

And the door connectors are a major bitch to run additional wires through. If it were me, I’d find the illumination wire on the window switch and tap into that. If that isn’t possible, at least tap the accessory power feeding the switch. They would be on with the key in the latter scenario, but they are so dim they won’t be noticed during daylight hours.

Whatever you do, I would highly suggest running a small fuse on each light harness. The wires are easily pinched. In my truck one of the rear harnesses was crushed and shorted from the factory. In that scenario, the BCM just shut down all my ambient lighting. But if you’re hot wiring it you def want some protection.
