In case anyone was wondering what the SRT caps look like in the stock wheels.They fit fine.

Well I got thwarted today.

1) My Gorilla bulge lug nuts don’t fit in these wheels. Ordered some thin splined ones for overnight. This should have been obvious to me but I just wasn’t looking out for it.

2) My centercap idea didn’t clear the axle stub in the front. So wound up having to dismantle the factory caps, and modify the Weld caps to accept the outer part of it. Unfortunately this means the SRT ones won’t work, as they rely on the bottom piece I removed to fill the “SRT” in. But the Ram caps look okay. Tomorrow is another day!

Lug nuts are a complete PITA. I have so many sets of old oem lug nuts because they are either chrome or won't work with aftermarket wheels.

on top of that the spline ones while they have the right seat angle are generally too small to comfortably be used with an oem wheel...........................so I still have my oem spare but need to keep 6 oem lug nuts in the truck incase I ever need to put the spare on.

I did get them on yesterday. Changed the tire size in the BCM and all systems are working well. Was worried I might lose the parking sensors since you do when you move up to 37s. But no issue going down.

Air has been horrible as far as DA…hotter than hell. So the performance tests will be done next week. But early observations are good. It goes down the road so much smoother and quieter. Like a Tahoe or Wagoneer instead of a TRX. Fuel economy also seems to have improved quite a bit. Like 2 MPG better on the highway according to the lie-o-meter (which should at least be as accurate as it was before).

Working on assembling a set of summer wheels and (street) tires. Focus is getting the weight down as much as possible for more performance. Should also improve the handling and fuel economy too. I’ll probably get trashed for it but I just don’t go off road in the spring or summer.

These Weld Ledge 6 20x9 (0 offset) will be a good start. 28.5 pounds on my scale. Very light for 20s considering the stock 18s are around 30 pounds. I am also working on incorporating the OE center caps for a more factory look. The stock caps are a bit small. Gonna try some others but otherwise I may be able to make a bushing. Either way it looks pretty sweet.

Tires are still up in the air. I’m looking at 46.5lbs for Nitto 420v (305/50r20) or 2.5 pounds less for Toyo Proxes in the same size. Even with the Nittos I’ll be around 20 pounds lighter per corner than stock. Only downside is that they are a 32” tire. You can get a 33” 420v but it weighs a shitload more because it’s an LT. It would weigh more than the stock setup in fact. Other option would be a more off road focused tire like the Recon Grappler. They are sold in a 315/60r20 which is basically a 35. At 57 lbs I’d still be 8-10 pounds lighter than factory, but my heart still wants a street tire that will hook better instead.

I live in San Diego where everyday is summer!

That being said I’ve seen those rims on a TRX and they looked very nice, you’ll love them!

The zero offset is where you lost me. I don’t know what positive offset is necessary to tuck those tires and rims underneath your wheel wells?

I just can’t hang with tire sticking out beyond the wheel walls, I don’t like the look and I especially don’t like the rooster tails that you’re going to get whenever you drive on snow, rain, and mud, just my two Cents.

Stock is +19 but these don’t really stick out at all. The tires are a bit narrower than the stock 325s so the actual difference even with the 0 offset is just .35” farther out.
