took these off today. I guess some amp power steps are next not real keen on how much dirt and crap they hold. with the salt on our roads the body would rot in a few years .

Wow those do hold a lot of crap in there
That’s what I thought. I have not had this truck very dirty at all and though I really got them cleaned good with a pressure washer 😳 but clearly you can not get alol the dirt and stuff out. I pressure washed them what I though was really clean even putting the spray right down the sides. Was really shocked at how much was left and how dirty the pinch welds were. For sure not any of these trucks bodys will last with these left on the truck.

Do those mount to the rocker panels? If so hope you do not get into hang ups like me, I bent my rocker panels on the inside so next pair I get will bolt to the frame. I went through 3 sets of "rock guards/step-ups" ... mucked up all 3 sets and now can not mount anything straight with the factory holes.

looking at them they definitely do not mount to the frame. If you are going to do any offroading where you might come down on a rock, especially with a heavy power wagon you need heavy duty frame mounted rock sliders.

They actually mount to the frame rail and they also have body nuts welded in between the pinch weld along the bottom and there are 6 bolts that go into the body. Like you say any abuse or hard hits would make then a nightmare to remove or re install. Basically they are just for looks. About the step ups I spent sometime yesterday checking out different ones on the web and with the way I want to build this truck out the best choice I see is white knuckle sliders or maple off road sliders who ever has the best delivery and price is going to be making me decide which one i go with.

On my way into work this morning I hit a chunk of concrete laying on the highway. About 1000 to 2000 feet up the road there were maybe a dozen or so smaller vehicles with flat tires I'm guessing from hitting the same chunk. I kept checking my tire pressure all the way to work and I seem to be fine. I just checked it again after about an hour or 2 and still good. Definitely a bead popper chunk of something. It startled me pretty good when I hit it.

Actually I would like to install the detloft trany and oil pan skid the flat skid plate the 2 diff covers and the sliders. Not sure if I want to use my credit to buy all at once. The shipping for the skids alone is over 700$ I get it every thing is expensive but I am old school and like to pay cash for my toys and stuff.

Oh yeah...and I washed mine today. No pics, but it's clean finally. Rain and two days of highway miles had it looking grey and white.

It's been below freezing here for a few weeks and I haven't been able to get my Rebel out for my normal wash routine, so I bit the bullet and checked out a local automatic car wash. It's not completely touch free, but it's minimal. They were running a promo for unlimited washes for a penny in Feb if you sign up for their plan, so I got that goin for me. :)

There was so much salt on it I got to visualize what it would look like with silver rims.

So I finally got around to installing my camo and covers seat covers. I am very happy with how they look and they fit like a glove. It was one of the easiest things I have ever ordered on the web. Did it over the phone with the owner! And they look great. I would definitely get these if your looking for a good quality seat cover. Theses are kryptek typhon with ostrich in lay. Theses are the first ever Canadian flag head rests As they didn’t have any and I asked him Why not? Well you can now order the Canadian flag as an option on your head rests. I also got the special ops pak for the back seats. Also for Canadian orders I got the cell phone holder on the drivers seat, lol for u American guys that would be were your pistol goes lol anyways these are not cheap but they definitely are the best seat covers you can get from a company that you can actually speak with someone who knows what they are taking about and will solve your issues or help you with your order.
