Decided I want to make them pop so I got these from Jeremy at Retro shop. I hope to get to installing these on Saturday if it's not too cold. Getting the existing ones off the tailgate is not going to be fun.
that sounds like it would still be a lot of work.Oooh, yeah thats gonna be a pain. I was looking into taking mine off on my Rebel for painting, but decided to just paint them in place. I still haven't gotten to it, but I'll be color matching them to Silver.
Either way you slice it. If it was a different color I'd remove them, but being the same silver there's a bit of wiggle room with some minor overlap. Plus, I'm telling myself that tape is easier than an eraser wheel. Suuure it is... lolthat sounds like it would still be a lot of work.

Do you use a small wire to cut the badges off? I know the wrap guys use some kind of wire to cut things off paintDecided I want to make them pop so I got these from Jeremy at Retro shop. the center oval hole for the A isn’t even used so I don’t know why it is there.Same! It's been years since I talked to him. He took care of a retrofit on my motorcycle about 5 years ago now. Good guy for sure.
