Caught a TRX towing this morning

Shocked I got my camera open in time.

Looks like they are towing appx 25ft enclosed trailer.

Are those ac units up top? And I'm guessing that forward compartment is for a generator? Anyone have a guess how heavy it is? I'd guess around 6k or so. Truck was squatting a bit but not bad

Properly set up that truck should tow just fine.

I am not experienced enough to chastise so don’t take this as I am. ONLY stating that I have seen that air bags are not the proper way to fix the sag, that you should use a weight distributing hitch.

Naaa don’t have anything to tow. At some point I might have to use my 5x8 utility trailer but that would never have anything heavy enough in it to worry

Oh no worries dude, I appreciate the kind response to a subject that I thought I knew the answer to. I stand corrected, a WDS is the proper way to fix a sag from towing and airbags are used for fixing a sag from hauling.

So lets talk about air bags a bit more .. if someone installs a lift with softer rate springs, would air bags be a good assistance when towing with a truck with said lift?

Stock. Just doesn’t squat that much with the boat. It’s ass-heavy.

7800 lbs dry. But it tows better than my 2013 Cummins did. Truck is a Beast!

Thank you! But I traded that that camper off just because did want to the extreme weight on it. Just towed long enough to trade it in. Truck looks a lot better now that I got my decals, tint, and tonneau cover on it.
