Stressing the frame

There has been a company driving around town with Ford Ranger cab and chassis equipped with large bill boards. I haven't seen them for a while. I think I know why.

Nope. The area past the end of the frame is longer than the frame under the sign. It looked like the frame broke underneath the cab.

They just drove around slow in traffic. They had to be careful going around corners. With the end sticking so far back and all the weight pulling UP on the front wheels, I think steering was "fun". The truck was getting ready to be loaded on a wrecker. The driver was talking to someone I assumed was his boss. I haven't seen any since soon after this happened. I used to see them all over town.
