What I find extremely interesting right now is there is a huge shortage of helium. I still have young kids and I go to the grocery stores, Party City's, etc and they are all out. Luckily, I was able to find 1 grocery store that still had a limited amount of helium to get my 3 balloons filled for my daughters Bday this weekend. Never would have thought we would ever have a storage in helium 🤷‍♂️

Remember the Hindenburgh? The Germans used Hydrogen rather than Helium as it is not a common element on Earth. It out gasses from underground and usually evaporates as fast as it comes out. I've seen party balloons where they used Hydrogen and got too close to the lit candles.

Filled up yesterday. Went across the river to Kentucky. Locally, gasoline is mostly around $3.69 to $3.89. One place by the interstate is still $4.09. Pretty much deserted too.

I filled up in Kentucky at $2.89. It ranged from $2.89 to $2.91 there.

Getting better. Needs to go down one more dollar and I will be happy!

Just paid $4.09 at Costco for premium myself. Felt nice spending under $100 for the first time in a while. But would really like those prices to come back down more!

Yesterday, gas over in Kentucky jumped from $2.89 to $3.49. Sheesh, it's not any cheaper than here.

I needed to fill up my gas cans and Kroger was 2.99 but since we now spend $1,200 a month on groceries (lets go Brandon) we get a buck off every 2-3 weeks. Max is 35 gallons so I put the rest in my truck then topped my truck off with 93 (3.54 a gallon) so it would not run like crap the next few days.

maybe 1.99 will be the norm after November?!

Probably not. There is a downward trend due to demand degradation. However, everyone has been cutting back on their driving and with lower prices will start to drive more. Current prices are based on market pricing over the last 15-20 years. The energy industry has flexed it's muscle and doesn't intend to back off. Texas is the biggest example of this. People died of hypothermia the winter before last because the energy is unregulated. Consumers have really started to pay out of pocket because the Governor has started banning state employees from doing business with companies that don't toe the official line. Current estimates are cost has gone up 15-20% because of this.

Just got my truck on Saturday. Had a 300 mile drive home - got like 16.2 mpg. Didn’t have to fill up until Halloween. I think my gas price was high, like $126 to fill up (26 or 27 gallons). For now, I’m in the honeymoon phase and am not even looking lol. Let’s see how long that lasts 😅

Filled up at Costco for $2.62 a gallon. This morning I went by another station and diesel was down to $4.09 at one station. Most are around $4.79, down from well over $5.
